Audacity crash after update to 3.7.5; older versions crash too

Hi there…

I was running Audacity 3.7.3 and updated to 3.7.5. After the update, Audacity will not open and result in a problem report that cannot be sent.

The crash report lists issues with nt.dll and openvino_intel_npu_plugin.dll.

Seems too long to post here?

Any suggestions?

Seems to be an issue with Open Vino maybe… As far back as March 2025, I downloaded the latest version of Open Vino.

I could not uninstall Open Vino from Windows settings and figured to just wipe out Audacity and Open Vino and other plugins I’ve collected.

Once I did that and re-installed 3.7.5 it’s working again. I haven’t tried to reinstall Open Vino yet.
