Audacity 3.7.1 does not record in Mac OS Sequoia

Audacity 3.7.1 sees my Onkyo Digital audio processor, and I can select it in the inputs, but no sound gets into the computer. Do you have any suggestions?

Is this the Onkyo PR-RZ5100 11.2 channel audio processor? How are you sure there’s even any sound getting to the computer? If there’s enough Cutting Edge Features, you’re never quite sure what the machine is doing. Which Windows? What’s the interconnection?

Do you use the computer for Skype/Zoom/Meetings/Multi-Player Games or other sound jobs? Did you try clean shutdown? Sometimes a clean start is nice.

We will note your opening says Mac, but the forum thinks you’re posting in Windows. It’s good not to make too many mistakes when you’re posting a question.

Anyway, did you Shut Down the Mac and then Start It again? I’m not a fan of Restart when you’re having trouble.

What are the privacy settings for “Microphone” - did you allow access for Audacity?

Could you - or an administrator of this forum - please re-label this discussion? It does not deal with Windows, but with macOS.
