Audacity 3.5 stuck on verifying

Okay… downloaded the most recent version of Audacity ( 3.5/3.5.1) , opened ‘er up and copied it to my Applications folder, where Audacity usually lives, so far, so good… clicked on it, seems to be stuck on “Verifying” ( system security) . Do have a Mac, running Mojave ( MacOS 10.14.6) … so what do I do now? Thanks

Is yours an Intel machine? If so, try installing the Intel-only version.

Thanks , billw58, all sorted out… and you were correct… I went to the Audacity GitHub page and got the Intel only version ( x64 version, not universal/arm) and it worked like a charm, not stuck/hu ng up at all, just get it and go !
