I split the display screen horizontally between Audacity and a guitar tablature program and I need all the space I can get for these two programs. But Audacity no longer remembers which tool bars I’ve selected and deselected. For each new Audacity window I open I have to remove all of the default toolbars at the bottom, except one, which is a distraction and waste of time. Also, as mentioned, I resize Audacity to fit a space on the screen but these dimensions are not remembered when re-opening a file or when creating a new file.
