I’m sure this has been covered, so I apologize if I’m going over something old, but I have a Dell XPS laptop and I’m trying to record with Audacity 3.0.3, but I simply cannot get past the latency issues. I’m not super computer-savvy, and I feel like there must just be an option I’m overlooking or something. I’ve tried a Presonus preamp, but it didn’t go anything. Can anyone tell me if there is a way around this, or am I just doomed because of the kind of computer I’m using?
What kind of latency problems? Do you have a delay in your headphones, or are you having trouble synchronizing with a backing track?
Some audio interfaces have zero-latency direct hardware monitoring (where the monitoring doesn’t go through the computer). What model Presonus do you have?
Can’t sync with a backing track. I have a Presonus Audiobox iOne.
