Hello, I have seen Gales post above. I have loaded Audacity 2.1.1 today and it will not open. I have an Audacity folder showing in Applications. I double click it. Then it opens and has sub folders (i.e help, plugins, etc). I double click on the actual application. It opens on my dock for a split second and then it is no longer open. I read Gales post and I don’t see , under FINDER and “GO>GO” option. I don’t understand what do to. I shut my MacBook Pro down and reopened. Same occurrence. Audacity just flashes on the DOCK and then goes away. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
Which Mac operating system do you have?
I’m using OS-X 10.9.5

Even the earliest version of OS X that 2.1.1 supports (OS X 10.5) has Go > Go to Folder.
Click the Finder icon in the Dock. Look in the Finder menu bar at the top of the screen. Click on “Go” then look in the menu that drops down.
