I would like to know the difference between version 2.1.0 RC1 and 2.1.0 RC2. thanks a lot for your answer and have a nice weekend. greetings.
The only differences are a tweak to the README file and a fix for a crash using ALT + SHIFT + F6 when Analyze > Contrast is open.
ok and thank you very much for your answer. I forgot to ask, what does it mean RC1 and RC2? greetings.
“RC” is an abbreviation of “release candidate”.
During development, the experimental builds are called “alpha”.
When the time comes for a new release, the most recent alpha build will be tested, and and fixed up to remove bugs or features that are ‘just not ready yet’ to create a version that is potentially suitable for the next release. That is called a “release candidate” (“RC1”). The release candidate will then undergo further testing. If any problems are found they will be fixed up and a new release candidate made (RC2). This continues as necessary until we have a release candidate that we are happy with. The final RC will then be repackaged as the “release” version.
hello and thank you very much for the clear explanation so I will wait for the final realese. thanks again and have a nice weekend. greetings.
