Dear all,
I just installed audacity under Debian Jessie and bought a Reshow USB Cassette Player. I want to digitize my old audio cassettes over the USB (2.0) Channel. However Audacity does not provide access to that USB-channel. At least I do not find a way to connect the device to audacity.
Do you see any way of doing so?

Ensure that the USB device is connected before you launch Audacity. You should then see a USB option in the “Device toolbar” above the tracks panel.
You should consider upgrading your operating system soon as Jessie is approaching it’s end of life.
Thank you, the problem with changing software is always: Never change a running system! 
Otherwise: I will try to connect the device before launching audacity
