Audacity 2.0.6 sound incompatibility with windows 10

I recently updated to Windows 10. I found when I recorded voice over auditions, the was no audio when I replayed the voice over.


I hit the record button and a box appears on my screen

it says error while opening sound device. Please check the recording device settings and the project sample rate.

Is the anything that can be downloaded so I can get back to work. Or is there a way I can go back to Windows 8??

After updating to Windows 10 it is often necessary to update your sound card drivers so that you have Windows 10 sound card drivers.
If your computer is a named brand with the original sound card, check the manufacturer’s website to see if Windows 10 drivers are available.
If your computer has an upgraded sound card, check the sound card manufacturer’s website to see if Windows 10 drivers are available.
