OS: Windows 8
Audacity 2.0.3
Used on networked machines
Whenever an attempt is made to trim (or make any other change/effect) to a track, the entire track is silenced, instead of the desired outcome.
I have tried to re-boot the software, log on and off as well changing network stations. None of these actions make any difference.
Has anybody experienced this issue before?
Audacity is not network aware. It doesn’t understand network delay problems and trying to run it from a remote machine can give unstable results.
Does it work if you sit in front of the machine running Audacity?

I am not able to do so, only access it on a networked computer.

Issue solved. It was due to the user running out of memory in their network drive. Once this was fixed, the error disappeared.
