Audacity 2.0.3 changes laptop volume level while opening

Hi

I upgraded my audacity to 2.0.3 and I found that my laptop volume level gets adjusted randomly to different levels every time I open audacity. I uninstalled 2.0.3 and installed 2.0.2 and found that the automatic volume change issue does not exist. I use Windows 7, 64 bit version.

Please let me know if you require additional information on this issue.

Thanks for the immediate reply. I did see the other topic above but in my case, I see that the volume level varies everytime - not always same. And the variation is also random. Sometimes it goes to a very low volume, sometimes it goes to mid level. Anyway, I shall wait for updates on this issue and then upgrade to the next version where this fix will be available.

Could you please try http://gaclrecords.org.uk/win-nightly/download.php?fname=./audacity-win-r12460-2.0.4-alpha-10-aug-13.zip ? 2.0.4 is currently expected to be released with that change, if we don’t have second thoughts.

While testing could you please try playing and recording at different sample rates, and try changing to WDM/KS host in Device Toolbar and see if that host plays correctly to your output devices.
