Audacity 2.0.2: Type of Ramps used for Fade-In and Fade-Out?

Hi there,

Does anyone know what function is used to create the ramps (linear, cos^2, or other) for the fade-in and fade-out effect in Audacity 2.0.2?

The standard “Fade In” and “Fade Out” effects are linear fades.
Additional fade types are available with the “Adjustable Fade” effect: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/adjustable_fade.html

Note that 2.0.2 does not have the Adjustable Fade effect. I recommend you upgrade: http://web.audacityteam.org/download/mac.
