Is there a command line way of applying the metadata stored in a template to wav, mp3 and flac files. Preferably without launching the gui.
Thanks

Which, if any of those, applies the metadata stored in a (Audacity) template?

Those tag editors are stand-alone software, (independent of Audacity).
They are for batch-processing the metadata in audio files, (which I though was your brief).
A common purpose of tag editors is to correct or update metadata and enable sorting and grouping of multimedia files, for example music collections. This often happens in a batch processing mode so that one doesn’t have to manually edit every file on its own.
Command line script batch processing yes. But using existing Audacity metatdata template file as data source.
