I thought I saw a post on this already, but no amount of searching can find it again…
I decided I wanted reverb over a portion of a track, but not all of it. I selected a region, saw it highlighted, added the reverb plugin (MuseFX). Upon playback I find reverb has been applied to the whole track…
Okay, scratch that… Go back in and split the track where I want the reverb to begin, select this region, saw it highlighted, added the reverb plugin. Upon playback I find reverb has been applied to the whole track…
So.. the VST plugins we can get from MuseHub are real time and non destructive…?
Wherein, application of any of them results in the effect appearing across your whole project..
The built in, Audacity effects are, destructive.. If you don’t like what you have applied, hit the undo button and have another crack..
Following that hyper link, I read that by duplicating your track and applying a destructive effect to the new track, adjusting the gain of this second track you may be able to control the amount of effect..
