(Windows 10, Audacity 3.0.5)
Was having a podcast edited by someone and they made a couple of errors such as not saving a copy of their original recording, applying a really bad noise reduction to all 4 peoples’ audio tracks, and then saving and closing without realizing what he had done so now the audio sounds really tinny / compressed.
We have 3/4 of everyone’s original uncut audio files intact, but the problem is that the 4th person (who was in charge of editing) just threw all the other files in with his recording without saving a copy first and started editing.
Theoretically everything could be re-edited with only his recording sounding bad, but it would be really tedious trying to sync up his voice clips every time for the entire hour+ of recording, since about 20 minutes of footage was snipped in total and it would probably need to be re-synced every time someone begins speaking.
Is there anything that can be done before attempting this?
