I have a bunch of coughs, and clicks I am trying to remove from my recording, or reduce the volume of. I know there is spectral editing, which can help somewhat, but is there any way to freehand or magic wand select like you can in some programs? I don’t want to have to get a second application and lose quality going back and forth between the two, nor do I know a program that has these features, that isn’t super expensive, but maybe there is one that can be plugged in?

Envelope tool will locally reduce the volume of everything,
whereas with spectral editing it is possible just to reduce/remove part of the audio spectrum.
