I’m using Windows 7, and Audacity 2.0.2. I obtained the Audacity file from the .exe installer. I recently recorded a wedding but the sound system caused high pitched voices to be distorted. I’m wondering if there’s any way I can clean up the audio so the voice is clearer? Attached is the file. (I’ve tried normalizing, changing bass, pitch, compression… so far nothing seems to work). Thank you.
The phrase “help me clean up…” is usually the kiss of death, but this time I think we can actually help. Apply Effect > Notch filter at 243Hz and Q value of 1.
There are lots of other problems, but that’s a terrific start.
The voice has comb filtering errors and you can also apply about 20 other notch filters, but lets start there.
