Any suggestions how to remove the following noise?

I am removing a click from a LP source, and encounter a strange noise in the attached file.

The noise is between 0.4-0.5sec on left channel only. I think I can see it in the time domain, but in frequency domain it looks ok.

Any suggestion how to process further?

I get .042 to .043.
The two tracks are dissimilar enough that you can’t easily copy a brief snippet of Right to Left to cover up the error, although you can try. I think trying to filter that out is not going to work.

Is that a repair that went wrong? It would probably be better to repair the original audio than to repair the repair, but I’m guessing that you don’t have a backup so it’s either work with this or re-record the whole thing - am I right?

Working with what we’ve got (times are approximate and may be tweaked for best results):

  • Select from 0.420 to 0.480 seconds
  • Delete
  • Select from 0.340 to 0.500 seconds
  • Effect menu > Crossfade Clips
