Hi i just got a mixer my friend gave me it’s an old carvin dx1642 and i am using reason 4.0 i wanted to know if there is a converter from analog to digital so i can use all channels into reason 4.0 so if i tern up the nkobs on the mixer it will do it on reason 4.0 i am learning all this so can someone help me?
Sorry, but the short answer is no. As far I can make out the Carvin is a standard audio mixer with no “control surface” features that would let you do what you describe. What you need is a dedicated control surface device that will interface via USB or Firewire with Reason. There’s no “black box” that would go between your mixer and Reason that would do the job.
