Why is it that Amplify works differently when applied within a macro… Volume settings seem different and Allow Clipping cannot be unselected
The idea here is to batch process multiple files to ensure max volume w/o clipping…
Use the “Normalize” effect.
Normalize and Amplify both do pretty much the same thing (they scale the waveform up or down), but with different interfaces:
- The Amplify effect scales the waveform by a specified amount.
- The Normalize effect scales the waveform to a specified level.
To scale the waveform to a level of 0dB (max volume) you need to use “Normalize”.
