Amplify and Normalize need me to select the whole audio

I just upgraded to Audacity 3.7.3 on Windows 11. Now, when I use the Amplify or Normalize commands, I must select the audio first. In previous releases, Audacity would select the whole audio, which saved a mouse move and a click. Can we have this previous behavior back, please?

There’s a setting in Audacity preferences if you want that …
“Select all audio, if selection required”.
