Hi,

  1. is it possible to only move a section of a track. i.e. if a guitar track starts in time but because of the latency of audacity it begins falling slightly behind the beat, can i move the part of the track forward without affecting the start of the song?

  2. when alligning tracks, is it possible to produce a line that goes through all the tracks so it is easier to line up one track with another?

  1. Yes, the Time Shift Tool can do that. In Audacity’s top left corner, there are 6 buttons used to select each different tool. You want the one that looks like this: ↔

  2. Sadly, no. There should be though.
