All selected audio is muted

Mac OS X 10.8.5

I isolated .50 seconds of sound. When I attempt to export the selection I get the error message: Unable to Export. All Selected audio is muted.
However, the audio is not muted!

Can someone help?

Check that the Mute button is not pressed on the selected track(s).
