Thanks, whomper. I think that USB turntables page is a good find, even though it lacks the Behringer or some other USB interfaces and disses Audacity to some extent because we aren’t specialized software to rip vinyl. I added a link to it to our USB turntables page. I’m ambivalent about adding a link to it to the Manual page about USB turntables - I think we can avoid doing so while the Wiki has its own tutorial.

The RIAA link is handy but not really a user-level article.

i find that sometimes i need more than one tutorial to understand something

perhaps the average visitor here might too
