Hello Working on a Mac osx 10.6… Tracks are all fine when project is playing and when exported as a whole, but when they are exported seperately and imported for mastering, alignments are off. Is there a way i can ensure that tracks start when they should, and are playing as i recorded them?
I think we fixed that in the current version (or maybe the next one). A good trick is create a silent track way down at the bottom of your show that’s longer than the show. Generate > Silence.
Each time you export, Export Selected and select that silent track in addition to the desired track. All the exports will be aligned with each other and each export will be the length of the silent track.
So Export Selected track 1 and 14.
Export Selected track 2 and 14.
Export Selected track 3 and 14.
Assuming 14 is the silent track.

The next version fixes a bug where white space in tracks could cause the files exported with Export Selection or Export Multiple to be too long.
We still don’t export “white space before the audio starts” as silence, so we don’t preserve alignment of multiple tracks that are part of a mix.

Too long, but white space before and during each track is preserved?

I don’t recall that being the case. I think it was white space after the start of the track that was added.
If you are curious, try it in 2.1.2, but we won’t be reverting the bug fix.
