Hi all. I have just got the Alesis io4 which works great for 4 track recording but i have to have the gain on the device on max to get a decent level in Audacity. Is this just the nature of this devices or do i have a setting wrong? Thanks
Please see the pink panel above - which version of Windows are you using, and the exact three-section version of Audacity from Help > About Audacity. Generally Alesis devices won’t record more than two channels at once into Audacity as shipped, except on Windows XP.
Have you turned up the Audacity input slider in Mixer Toolbar:
If that Audacity slider is greyed out, is there a slider in Windows you can turn up?
