Just installed Audacity on HP laptop AMD Ryzen 7 5825U with Radeon Graphics (2.00 GHz) running Windows 11 Home 25H2. App works well but my Word app language changed to Afrikaans. I’ve reset the language so posting this to share information.
I am in no way a specialist for Word, and I use macOS for my computers - but something seems unclear to me.
- What did change in Word - the language in which Word shows menus and dialogs etc., or the language which is used by Word for spell checking etc., or both?
- How did you change Word to display its menus / dialogs etc. in another language again? I don’t see such a possibility in Word’s settings option (I know how to change the document’s language). Word apparently displays everything in the language the operating system uses - at least under macOS and most probably also under Windows.
I’ve so far never seen that a program changes some settings of another program… this seems quite unusual. And if Audacity did such things on a regular basis, I would have read about it here before. Can you tell which Audacity-version you installed?
