Adding Song Titles To A Burned CD?

I have Audacity 2.11 and Windows 7. I have burned a CD but not with Audacity. Is it possible to add metadata on a burned CD with Audacity? if not is there another way of solving this problem? Thank you. Rob

Audacity doesn’t burn CDs…

I use [u]ImgBurn[/u] to burn CDs. I’ve never tried it, but here is a [u]Guide to burning CDs with CD Text[/u] using ImgBurn and a [u]Cue Sheet[/u].

Note that many commercial CDs don’t have [u]CD Text[/u] (or any metadata), and most CD-player software doesn’t read the information from the disc. It takes a “fingerprint” of the disc and searches for a match online. But of course, your homemade CD is not in the online database so CD Text is the only way to do it.

If you are seeing artist & title information when you play a CD on your car stereo, that’s usually CD Text (since your car stereo probably doesn’t have an Internet connection).
