Adding Delay to one section only

Version 3.2.5.
I added Delay to a section of one track.
I got the result I wanted EXCEPT the delay effect continues on AFTER the selection I added Delay to.
How do I stop that from happening?

Excellent question. So on 3.3.3 there is a magic box in the lower right-hand corner of the Delay Effect Control. Set it to NO.
