adding 3rd party fx

Mac OS latest. Mac Air 2017 8 gig
Audacity is a great free tool. The compressor is good. But can I get other free add on tools that will show on the menus and give me more choices for fx and tools?

Try the Audio Unit plug-ins that came with your Mac.

yes, I see now that they are on the menus and there are MANY choices.
