Ability to import audio file using clipboard

Hi.

I’m curious if adding ability to import audio file using clipboard is possible.
You can drag/drop audio file into audacity to import audio file, so i thought what about importing an audio file using clipboard? Haven’t seen that in feature requests or proposals.

I don’t think that would be possible.
Audacity has it’s own clipboard that is capable of carrying copied audio tracks, but it is only available for copying from Audacity to Audacity, for example for copying from one open project to another, or for copying from one or more tracks to other tracks.
