Aac files crashing after being exported

Hai, i’m new here, so pardon if anything I say makes no sense whatsoever

So I imported (and later exported) a file that was AAC (using FFMPEG, I think) in Audacity. However, when I play it in a sound player such as windows media player, it freezes the program, but the song still plays normally. It’s just a minor issue (even though I have to use task manager to kill the file), but any idea why it would freeze?

The file I used will be uploaded here, http://wikisend.com/download/780208/bgm_xy_vs_flare.aac I’m aware of the upload attachment, but my slow internet does not work well with the forum (plus the file is a little over the 4MB limit), so that didn’t work well.

I’m using windows 10 with Audacity 2.1.0. I know there might be a later version, but i’m posting this here in case it happens to be there as well.

The file plays OK for me in the small player window in Media Player 12.0.14393.447 on Windows 10 Version 1607 (OS Build 14393.447) - in other words an up to date Windows 10 Anniversary Update. I can exit Media Player normally afer adjusting the file’s EQ in the player.

Strange, because it froze for me, i’m on the same versions of windows and media player myself. I have no idea, Still, Thanks

You could press the Windows key and type “Troubleshooter” (without quotes) then open the Troubleshooter Control Panel that appears in the search results. In the window that appears, type “Media Player” (without quotes) in the Search box. There are then some troubleshooters you can run.

You can also search Event Viewer (open it by Windows key then typing) to see if a problem is reported there.
