8 kHz WAV files getting saved as 44.1 kHz after a batch amplifying

Hello,

I’m trying to amplify a batch of WAV files, and the saved files have the sample rate changed from 8kHz to 44.1kHz. How do I correct this issue?
The WAV files I’m trying to amplify are mono, 8kHz, signed 16-bit PCM. I’m using Audacity 3.7.4, OS is Win 11 Pro.

I just wanted to update this thread, I was able to locate the setting and all is good now. I had to go into Audio Settings under Preferences and change the sample rate there to 8kHz.
