3.2.1 freezes in Montery 12.6

I have used Audacity for years with no problem. My current version is Monterey 12.6
Today Audacity freezes and the beachball occurs on the screen when I try to play my recording.

What should I do?

My audacity version is 3.21 not 3.24. I tired to reset it, this doesn’t work.

I finally got it to work. I restarted and its working now.
