2.4.2 Crash

Please forgive my ignorance in almost all aspects of this. I am using a Chromebook, so I downloaded audacity 2.4.2 as a linux app (if it means anything, I used the instructions from this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_7MH4o7DWk).

I was able to start recording using a Blue Yeti microphone. After about 30 seconds of recording, Audacity crashed. I was able to open it back up and recover most of the recording, but it happened again and has continued to happen. I looked through the forum and tried the things I could figure out how to do (minimize the window, make sure the setting is for hw:0,0), but it is still crashing after a few seconds of recording. Any ideas? As you may have guessed, I am super new to Linux and Audacity both, so I apologize for anything that I haven’t relayed clearly.

Audacity does not officially support Chromebooks, so there’s no guarantee that it will work correctly.

There is an updated version of that video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qArDGHzhMGo&feature=youtu.be
I have no idea if the video is correct - I don’t have a Chromebook. I just saw the link in the comments of the video that you posted.
