2.4.2 Catalina - AU plugins not being detected

I’m trying to get the Versilian Upright Piano and Keyzone Classic AU plugins to work on Audacity. I’ve placed the .component files into my System audio plugin directories (not the Audacity plugin directory), but Audacity isn’t picking them up inside any of the “add/remove plugins” managers. I’ve already tried restarting my computer, to no success.

What can I do?

Audacity does not support VST instrument (only VST effects). I assume the same for AU instruments.
