2.3.2 Upgrade On 10.12.6 *BUG*

Hi, all!

I’m running iOS 10.12.6 (Sierra) on an iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015, 3.2GHz i5) with 32GB of RAM and a 1TB internal SSD. Audacity has been working flawlessly for me for years; however, after upgrading to 2.3.2 (which all investigation suggests is compatible with 10.12.6), all of my controls are now grouped together in the middle of the screen, and Audacity is now unusable. The log file shows a lot of missing files that were there before the upgrade (see screenshot of both the issue and the log file).

Has anyone else experienced this and/or have a solution to offer? If 2.3.2 is incompatible with my setup, I have no problem downgrading to the previous release if someone would be kind enough to point me in the right direction to get the installer.

Thanks!

I know some of that. 232 takes different FFMpeg libraries.

Scroll down to installing FMpeg.

I may have an idea about some of the rest of that, too. I down-rezzed my office screen to 1920 x 1080 (High Def) because I couldn’t read it when it was full resolution. I think there’s a limited range of Audacity “sizes.” I don’t have all the pieces of this.

How big is your screen? Mine is 27" diagonal. Are you doing that across two screens?

Click on View [menu] > Toolbars > Reset Toolbars.

The “Reset Toolbars” function fixed the issue, and I will definitely explore the FFMpeg install situation.

Thanks, all!
