I’m looking for confirmation that 2.2.2 isn’t expected to work on macOS 10.13.5.
Or if it can work, are there tips to get it to launch?
Thanks.
gcc
I’m running Audacity 2.2.2 on macOS 10.13.6 on a MacBook Air.
Are you having problems?

Hi, yes, 2.2.2 is not launching for me on 10.13.6
Console shows if I search for Audacity…

2.2.2 on 10.13.5
OK I give up. I’ve done everything written about getting this version to start on my MAC and to no avail. The program is in applications, I’ve made sure the audacity.cfg file is in the application support space. When I click to open the program, it flashes quickly in the top bar and goes away. The older programs worked on early MAC versions but no luck now. Luckily I have Reaper!
Try deleting the file audacity.cfg and see if that helps.

I got Audacity to launch by renaming the ~/Library/Application Support/audacity folder.
I’m not sure what file in that folder is the issue, and am gradually copying over older .cfgs and dirs.
