[2.1.1] Replacing tones with other audio

Hello,

I’d like to start making airhorn remixes, but I’m having trouble with every tutorial for other programs, and I find Audacity easy to use, so I’d like to use it.
Does anyone know of a way I can replace all pitches of a certain key, to a different audio file?
Example; Replace all keys of 1 with a different audio file with the same pitch: 1,1,5,5,6,6,5,4,4,3,3,2,2,1 — becomes 1alt,1alt,5,5,6,6,5,4,4,3,3,2,2,1alt.

I think what you really need to use is a “MIDI sequencer” and a “sampler” (“sample player”).
