Re: problems with recording

<<<the recording stops after 10 seconds or longer without me doing anything.>>> Talk more about that. Does Audacity crash? Do you have to launch it again? Do you a get a good recording--just way too short? Any error messages or codes? What does the screen look like as it's reaching the stop point? Koz

Re: Hi Iam new here so any help is good help

I found a Radio Shack cable that might help. This was designed to lower the volume on your headphones, but it might do what you want. Plug the mixer into this: http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2102975&cp=&sr=1&origkw=audio+cable+volume+control&kw=audio+cable+volu...

Re: MP3 Export Issues

If you can get any pathway to work, we can go back and narrow down the problem. Can you play the Audacity MP3s in Cool Edit? Koz Oh, wait, wait, wait. I did have a problem like this. Select the MP3, but don't double click it. Select Open With and force Windows Media to open it. Don't let QuickTime P...

Re: Can't get audio output through Digi 001

This could be hard......

Look at Audacity, Preferences, Audio I/O, Playback, Device. What does it say? Do you have more than one option?

Re: problems with recording

<<<Yep, still the same problem.>>>

Could this be something silly like you're running out of disk space? Do a right-click, Properties on your drives and see how full they are. No drive on a production machine should be much over 90% full.

Re: Hi Iam new here so any help is good help

The mixer output is line level. That's around 1000 times louder than the Mic In connection on the computer is expecting. So you're overloading the electronics inside the computer and causing distortion. If you can plug the mixer into a Line In of the computer that would do it. I don't see a micropho...

Re: Creative Xmod help please

This thing appears to stand between your sound source (computer) and the outside world of headphones or speakers. It doesn't work backwards, so the computer never sees the effect. It's always live and can't be recorded--unless you redigitize with a second computer or figure out a way to make your or...

Re: new here need some help please

Say that again and use different words.

You want to mix two different audio tracks together, or you want to apply two different effects to the same audio track?

About half-way down this web site there is a sample of Windows Media Friendly MP3 file. Can you play that?

Re: Plugins not even in menu

I'm trying to install some plugins that I own, but I'm having licensing issues. So I'm still here. Were you able to get yours to work after un-zipping them?
