Re: synthesizing voices from voice clips

Technology may have moved on by...

Re: How to make regular sounds into ASMR?

Let's say I'm recording GTA V. But I want to make everything sound in ASMR style - soft, consistent, no sudden volume change, make everything like a whisper :) Any ideas? Make a second recording. Even then, autonomous sensory meridian response is subjective, so regardless of what your "ASMR style" ...

Any way to clean this up?
I don't think it is possible to make significant improvements to the audio quality of that recording.

Re: lower volume under percentage

translate percentage in db In the Nyquist Prompt (https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/nyquist_prompt.html) you can use the LINEAR-TO-DB command. Example: To calculate 67% in dB 67% = 67 / 100 = 0.67 on a linear scale of 0 to 1. So to calculate 67% in dB, enter this in the Nyquist Prompt: (linear-to...

I bought a small 4-channel mixer and connected to the PC
What is the make / model of the mixer, and how is it connected to the PC?
How are you listening to the recording?

Re: Record from Reaper (Piano VST + Yamaha Motif hardware) through Focusrite AI

I created a Reaper project, which plays Garritan CFX piano simultaneously with a Yamaha Motif device (S90ES) through Focusrite Scarlett 6i6 AI. The audio output from S90ES is directly sent to the input jacks of Scarlett using special audio cords. With my headphones, connected to Scarlett, the mix o...

Re: Sliding Stretch

As an experiment, I tested 4 recordings of Beethoven 7th symphony 1st movement to check the orchestra's tuning. The results were quite surprising: Version 1: A 446 Version 2: A 442 Version 3: A 445 Version 4: A 448 (As the results were surprising, I looked up "Why do orchestras tune sharp", which br...
