Re: What other tools, if any, do you use?

So do you use additional, "external" tools to sub for instruments? How did it work out? Note that "Audacity can load VST effects (but not VST instruments)". See https://www.audacityteam.org/download/plug-ins/ ...I have a couple [tools?], but I don't know if I can post them on here. Audacity is an o...

Re: modificare la voce

You can try a google search for voice changer or voice changer effect plugin. Be sure that it works with Audacity before purchasing any plugins.

Re: Error while opening sound device

I haven't used Audacity for a few weeks and when I try to start recording, I get the following message " Error while opening sound device. Please check the input device settings and the project sample rate". I deleted and reinstalled Audacity, but to no avail. Using Windows 10. Any suggestions? Her...

3) Switch between recording 1 and 2 channels.

Re: inconsistency in out/input signals

So, when the maximum peak level in the main mix (on the zedi) is between 0 and +6 this implies a lower maximum peak in the audicity meters, i.e. between -18 and -12. In other words, in order to get the ideal maximum peak signal in audaity (-6), I will have to set the mix to high in the zedi (the me...

Re: Is a headphone jack good enough for audio capture?

I have a couple of vinyl records I would like to transfer to digital. I have a high-end, but old turntable. It has a headphone jack. I have this DIGITNOW USB Audio Capture gizmo: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B079CBGDST/ Is that good enough to be able to make good digital copies of the vinyl re...

Re: Can't find out what's wrong.

Overdubbing is an odd duck because for it to work right, the entire record system and the entire playback system have to be working perfectly. If you are still having problems, here are some things to try: 1) Check that Audacity's project rate and track rate (in lower left corner and left of track)...

Format not supported by the device
So if 44100 is not supported by your device, try something that is, perhaps 48000?

Then, set Audacity's project rate (lower left-hand corner) to that rate. Be sure that both recording and playback devices are set to the same rate.
