Re: Vista SP1 & What U Hear
Check out the thread that is titled "Error Opening Sound Device". Is this an accurate description of what you have experienced? I wonder, because I installed SP1 around that same time also and I wonder if there is some sort of conflict.

Re: Recording what I hear
... That's not unusual. That feature only works if it is supported by the sound card driver, and some sound card drivers do not support it (especially Vista) - This does not prevent Audacity working, it just means that you have to select the recording input using the Windows Mixer rather than selecting ...

Re: dell/vista can only record with microphone
Well guys I've done a lot of research on this problem. It seems that most newer Dell Laptops and other brands that have Vista already installed on them are going with the Sigmatel Soundcards and codecs to thwart people from downloading streaming music off the internet. Most software ...

Re: Recording what I hear

Recording what I hear
I'm sure this has been covered, but save me the looking and sorting through stuff trip... I'm running Vista, and Audacity works fine for other things. I'm trying to record what I'm listening to while streaming. I looked in the Realtek setup and apparently the driver isn't ...
