Heh heh. Sounds like you have your mike set up as the default input, that's why you hear those sounds. I've never tried what you're doing, but try the microsoft sound mapper input at the preferences box.

I'm using Vista.

I've recorded tons of things fine, but lately, when I record. The volume starts off fine and then gradually fades out.
I can stop and raise the volume but it remains the same. It gets to the point you can't even hear what was recorded.

Any suggestions?
