Im not much help, but I have gotten that error to and not sure what its from but I just quit Audacity and reopen it then it works, but then I have the error Audacity quit unexpected.

I am using a SUPER USB CASSETTE CAPTURE so I can get old tapes into the Audacity software then copy and paste to iTunes then burn to a disc. ButI can barely now get it paste 3 songs then that error comes up.

I have a suspicion your cassette will show up as a "PnP Audio Device". Yes? What is the brand name of the cassette?

Hi - forgive me for this basic question - I'm new to Audacity. I'm looking to use a cassette to MP3 device. The devise shows up and when I select the usb connected device as my input, when I play the cassette, the sound isn't coming through. Can anyone offer any advice? Thank you. jill
