ok I've turned down the playback preferences and deselect "the play track while recording new ones", my question is I'n not sure about the windows preferences: I dont's see any UCA202 behringer (sorry noob question) are you familiar with the name of the audio interface if i looked it up in...

Just for form, how, exactly did you adapt your guitar pickup 1/4" plug to the UCA202? You can mess it up. The guitar is mono and the UCA202 is stereo.

Not recording frequencies above 6Khz.
... and every time I got the same result; tinny sound, almost nothing above 6 Khz (a spike or two around 15 Khz)...? What might be the problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Molkar

It's probably not so much Audacity as your computer. We need more details. Exactly what computer and OS are you using, what kind of cable are you using to connect the microphone to your computer, and where on the computer are you plugging it in?
