Just for form, how, exactly did you adapt your guitar pickup 1/4" plug to the UCA202? You can mess it up. The guitar is mono and the UCA202 is stereo.

ok, so I've bought a Behringer UCA202 audio interface.. It's probably not so much Audacity as your computer. We need more details. Exactly what computer and OS are you using, what kind of cable are you using to connect the microphone to your computer, and where on the computer are you plugging it in?

I'm using a Shure beta 57A, but audacity does not pick up any sound when the mic is connected.
Is there a way to fix this and to make the two compatible?
