If it's an electric guitar and you're plugged into a newer Windows laptop, you may be stuck in overload and Windows conferencing services. Windows will try to bring voices up and suppress everything else for tools like Skype. If you don't turn that off, it may make your performances sound terrible. ...

Some more info about your setup would be helpful... What kind of guitar do you have, how are you connecting it to your laptop? What kind of mic are you using? What operating system do you have on your laptop? Tell us as much as you can about your gear.

im new this...but i hooked my guitar up to my lab top...and when i record it has an echo like a delay in my clear guitar sound....and when i record its at very low volume at playback..help thanks

I need help ASAP!

When I export a short audio clip (5-6 minutes long) as an MP3, the file ends up really large, like 5 MB. That seems huge for such a short audio piece.

How do I reduce that size? Please write in really basic language because I'm not a techie at all!
