Re: Tone control plug-in

... I first wrote it, so I've also attached an even easier tone control. This works in the same way as a tone control on many portable players - No help screen included - This is so simple that 'how to use' should be totally obvious for anyone. Very simple, yes. Appropriate for Audacity, maybe not. ...

Re: Help...error message

Same (well, similar) error message. Could you say exactly what the error message in 1.3.12 is (the exact message is probably important). I just changed the filename to management_takeover and changed both files and the folder Changing the name is a very dangerous thing to do. The .AUP file contains...

Re: Tone control plug-in

Option 4 Clipping Protection (normalize to 0 dB if too loud): Yes, let's go with that. I've amended the Technical Details and the 'View Help' text to match this wording. Reluctantly, I think I prefer the info line warning Yes, I think that's the best option. Rather than referring the user ...

Re: Help...error message

I'm thinking about possible differences between this show and the others. Did you use unfortunate filenames on this show? Any dates for example? Audacity hates that. Upper and lower case letters, numbers, dash and underscore are the only universally safe characters in filenames.

Re: Help...error message

I can't reproduce this problem. But I can tell you that Audacity 1.2 used to behave differently when you were inside the program and File > Open, than it did when you right-clicked on an AUP file > Open With... Try that. Close Audacity and make Windows open it for you. If that works, then you have y...

I'm open to any ideas for alternative wording that is as clear as the current wording. I think "Output Level Reduction (for clipping prevention)" ...
