Recording slightly low is actually a good thing because slightly low can easily be fixed. Slightly high can overload and cause crunchy, clicking, clipping damage. If you get that, it's the end of the show. there's no good way to fix it. Many people recording personal performances for the first time ...

Yay. It works perfectly when I try to save to my home partition, and yes, the partition I originally tried was NTFS. I've never had problems with NTFS, so that's why this didn't come to my mind.

I have exactly the same problem...!!
I use a tascam 122L card for recording.....
So when i record more than 1 channels, (2-5) i have problem. My second or other channel records are out of time..
Can u help me?

Hi Carol, For Windows Vista you should be using Audacity 1.3.12 - this may not help with your immediate problem, but it will avoid a lot of other problems (Audacity 1.2.6 is very old, has problems on modern systems, and is no longer maintained). http://audacityteam.org/download/beta_windows ...
