No, it installs into a different folder. The old version will still be available, but note that Audacity 1.2 cannot open Audacity Projects that have been saved by Audacity 1.3.

If I do download 1.3.12 does it over write the other program? Also do you know of any problems with putting album artwork on music imported from Audacity in itunes? I cannot get the album artwork to go onto this album. I am going to call itunes tomorrow to see if they can help me. Thanks
